Welcome to San Jose

Diverse metropolitan city with a thriving high-tech scene.

San Jose is a diverse metropolitan city with a thriving high-tech scene. This dynamic city is known as the Capital of Silicon Valley. San Jose is the largest city in Northern California, and it offers a huge variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The city is also teeming with cultural attractions and employment opportunities. San Jose’s real estate mix is just as wide-ranging, including everything from chic contemporary condominiums to luxurious private estates.

Santana Row is Silicon Valley’s premier shopping street. Here, you’ll find a world-class mix of trendy boutiques and premium fashion brands alongside outstanding restaurants and upscale salons. Downtown San Jose is packed with places to enjoy a great meal. The Table serves exquisite dinners and brunch specials prepared using fresh seasonal ingredients. The Table’s excellent cuisine is paired with hand-crafted cocktails and an extensive wine list. The Farmers Union is a high-end tavern and sports bar offering creative gastropub fare and craft beers in an elegant setting. The San Jose dining scene also includes an abundance of authentic international eateries. Standouts include Culinary Corner Bistro for pan-pacific dishes such as Vietnamese pho noodles and rice plates.

San Pedro Square Market in Downtown San Jose features a range of vendors selling artisanal food and drink. Every Friday morning from May until mid-November, San Jose’s Downtown Farmers’ Market is full of stalls offering fresh local produce and other specialty foodstuffs.

Another seasonal highlight is the Music in the Park summer concert series at Central Park. Since 1989, Friday evenings between June and August have seen Central Park come alive with performances from an eclectic selection of established and up-and-coming acts.

The SAP Center is San Jose’s premier indoor arena. The SAP Center is home to the NHL’s San Jose Sharks, and it also hosts concerts and other sporting events from gymnastics to the UFC and WWE.
